Plenty of incredible food at breakfast time. Impressive units with a standard bathroom, cupboards, as example. The incredible and stunning location for the price, short walk to library, 200 yards or more and Melton mobrey Belvoir castle. Also, in beautiful parkland.

Beautiful setting
When you book you are under the impression you will be staying in an impressive old house. In fact the hotel facilities are all in the servants area. The rooms are in the stable block and the restaurant and bar are in a gloomy, badly decorated side extension. There are fabulous rooms in the main house but they were all in darkness.

The fine grounds were enjoyable, but the room had a strong smell.

It's a beautiful mansion with lovely well-kept gardens, surrounded by countryside. Even though it is close to the a1 it is a remarkably peaceful location. The food was wonderful and the staff friendly and courteous. I look forward to staying there again.
We would have liked the swimming pool to be open for longer hours.

Fine historical architecture with beautiful gardens.
Broken heating made our stay very uncomfortable in cold weather.

The shower screen was nor keeping the water in when showering. The water would leak out from where it didn't form a seal to the bath. Also the shower head did not stay straight, it kept twisting left or right and stayed in that position, and so was very difficult to shower under.

The location
The 45 min wait in between courses at dinner while people who entered the dining room after us sat and ate, only had dinner the one night, as when some one says sorry for taking a while to take your order, onbe then assumes they are back obn target if they meant the apology.....not the case. Also the cleaning by spray of the tables left them sticky.

great historical charm near beautiful gardens and landmarks
During my weekend stay, i loved exploring nearby attractions like isaac newton's apple tree and the picturesque easton walled gardens. The hotel's grandeur reflects its rich history, though the overall upkeep could use some attention, but it didn't detract greatly from my appreciation of the area.

Lovely location - quiet and relaxing. The grounds were very well kept. Food was delicious, nice portions and well presented. Generally, the facilities were good, we did not get the opportunity to use the spa facilities due to attending a wedding event, but were suitably impressed to want to return again for a longer stay to make use of all the facilities on offer. Although the room was outside of the main house, it was comfortable and clean, with plenty of tea and coffee for our stay. We were very greatful to staff who allowed us a little longer to book out of our room. Thank you for the lovely stay.

What a beautifull place, the grounds are super nice and the staff were so friendly n polite. Had a large comfy room with a cool view over the land. The peace and quiet was amazin too, perfect for a chill weekend away.
The hot water took forever to come on in the shower n i wish there were a bar or restaurant on site. Also the whole place is still a bit run down, so u have to keep that in mind.

The main house building and grounds are fantastic. Very grand and excellently maintained. Although we were staying in one of the outbuildings the rooms were of a good standard without being specatacular, clean and tidy and the decor matched the character. The breakfast was again adequate. A morning stroll around the grounds is a must.
The reception staff were ignorant, agressive and unhelpful. Despite booking an early check in along with another member of our party, when we arrived to check in we were met by a disgruntled young member of staff who to put it bluntly needed a shave. A poor customer facing image upon arrival at the hotel. He huffed and puffed as he processed our check in, cursing the lady who it had been agreed with, his attitude was much the same the next day upon check out and the dodgy facial hair remained. There was a recurring theme throughout the wedding party and another found the staff to be much the same when lodging a complaint. In summary, good hotel but the staff that greet you and check you out are key when providing a long term opinion.
